Middleton on the Wolds school and Beswick and Watton school first federated in 2007.  In 2012 Bishop Wilton school joined the federation.  At this point the school logo was redesigned to echo the Christian nature of each of the schools and how they are now linked together.

The Church is the Church of Beswick and Watton, the cross is the cross of St Edith to whom the parish church of Bishop Wilton school is dedicated. The dove is the dove of Middleton school but the children changed the olive branch for a ribbon for this image. This ribbon is to symbolise that ribbon is the love in the federation wrapping round the federation and around the world.
